Job summary

Gaming & Technology Academy of Saginaw is seeking a dedicated Food Service Director to lead the school’s food service program. You will supervise operations, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local mandates, and prepare required reports and reimbursements.

You must hold a ServeSafe Certification and a Bachelor's degree with at least three years of supervisory experience. Familiarity with PrideWare software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Familiar with PrideWare software.

Responsibilities

• Administer the national school lunch and breakfast programs in compliance with regulations and board policies.
• Monitor the district food service budget and implement financial controls.
• Plan, direct and evaluate food service systems for quality in distribution, storage, production, merchandising and service.
• Assist in staffing policy development and hiring recommendations; evaluate staff performance.
• Plan and evaluate procurement, receiving, storage and distribution of food and supplies.
• Identify program needs, set goals, monitor activities and evaluate effectiveness.
• Manage all phases of food service including production, staffing, menus, equipment, inventory, cash control and cost containment.
• Perform other professional responsibilities as assigned.
