Job summary

The Truck Driver/Warehouse Specialist for Student Nutrition at Anchorage School District loads food, supplies, equipment, and other items on trucks and makes deliveries to units or schools according to a prescribed schedule. The district offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA and life insurance, plus a retirement plan with PERS.

Requires a high school diploma (or GED), 2 years driving/delivery experience, Alaska CDL with air brake endorsement, and a food handler's card

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or current enrollment in GED program.
• Two years of truck driving and delivery experience; must evidence ability to perform tasks.
• Valid Alaska CDL class A or B with air brake endorsement.
• Food handler's card within two weeks of start date.
• Ability to load/unload and deliver to schools on a prescribed schedule.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload delivery trucks with food, supplies, equipment and other items.
• Make deliveries to schools or units as scheduled.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and various trucks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in warehouse duties as needed.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff and vendors.
