Job summary

Oldham County Schools is seeking an hourly Classified Food Service Worker to prepare and serve a variety of foods in the school nutrition program. You will follow menus and HACCP procedures, perform POS transactions, and assist with inventory.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and willingness to work at any school site. Training is provided, and hours will vary within a 180-day contract schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred background in institution food service.
• Ability to follow menus, recipes and production records.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves a large quantity of foods and beverages as menus require.
• Maintains forms, records, and reports as needed.
• Accurately runs a point-of-sale system and handles cash.
• Counts money and makes change accurately.
• Performs sanitation and HACCP-compliant food handling duties.
• Works well with peers, staff, students and parents.
