Job summary

North Clackamas School District is seeking a Nutrition Service Assistant for a 3.5-hour daily, part-time, permanent position. The role supports the kitchen team with food storage, preparation, serving and basic POS tasks while adhering to USDA and district food-safety guidelines and maintaining production records.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, plus experience working with diverse communities and strong customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent, or two years of nutrition experience may substitute for education.
• Successful experience in working with culturally diverse families/communities; or demonstrated commitment to engaging a diverse population.
• Ability to communicate and maintain good working relations with staff, students, community representatives and nutrition services management.
• Initiative and ability to follow directions and training from senior personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food storage, preparation, and serving.
• Follow nourishment and food safety guidelines per USDA and district mandates.
• Complete production records daily and operate POS meal computer as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Nutrition Services Management.
