Job summary

North Clackamas School District is seeking a Nutrition Service Assistant (3.75 hrs/day, 0.4688 FTE) to support the food service program in daily operations, meal preparation, service, and record keeping.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (or two years of nutrition experience), strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to follow recipes and food-safety guidelines under USDA/state/district mandates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years nutrition experience may substitute for education.
• Ability to communicate and maintain good working relations with staff and students.
• Initiative and ability to follow directions and training from senior personnel.
• Ability to follow production planners, read and comprehend recipes and equipment directions.
• Maintain valid Food Handlers Card.
• Customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills; POS training.
• Ability to pass pre-placement drug and physical examinations.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and storage according to program standards and safety guidelines.
• Follow recipes and production records and prepare meals.
• Operate POS meal computer and assist with meal counts.
• Assist with cleaning, dishwashing, and maintaining facilities.
• Provide support to ensure program record requirements are met.
• Attend training and participate in team duties as assigned.
