Job summary

Carroll County Schools is seeking a School Nutrition Assistant for a 4-hour shift at Sand Hill Elementary School in Carrollton, GA. You will prepare and serve healthy meals, follow sanitation standards, and assist with promotions for the nutrition program.

You will work under the School Nutrition Manager/Assistant Manager and participate in required trainings to support student achievement and program integrity.

Qualifications

• Ninth grade education or HSE is required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Able to lift 30 pounds and stand 6-7 hours per day.
• Practice good personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with government rules.

School Nutrition Assistant

Purpose of the position: To prepare and serve food in accordance with government rules and regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Serves students healthy meals on a daily basis in order to support student learning.

Strategic Goal Area II—Stakeholder Engagement and Loyalty

• Works under the direction of the School Nutrition Manager/Assistant Manager.
• Demonstrates the ability to work with the school community.

Strategic Goal Area III—Efficient and Effective Operational Processes

• Practices proper procedures in food preparation, use and care of equipment, and personal habits to assure that sanitation standards are met.
• Follows standards of safety in preparing, storing, and serving food.
• Participates in implementing promotions related to the program.

Strategic Goal Area IV—Continuous System and School Improvement

Attends job-related training classes and workshops (All employees must complete SL1 or O.N.E. class).
