Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or hold GED.
• Basic arithmetic, reading, and writing skills are necessary.
• Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds and stand for 3-6 hours.
• Experience in institutional food service operations helpful.
• Must complete Serve Safe course with 70% accuracy or higher.
• Previous knowledge of point of sale experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative is essential.
• Experience working with diverse school communities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with food service manager's production and service instructions.
• Ensure compliance with standards for meal accountability.
• Assist in food prep, service, and clean-up tasks.
• Practice safety standards in food handling and storage.
• Process students through breakfast and lunch lines.
• Work efficiently and cooperate with co-workers.
• Attend relevant training classes and workshops.
• Interact positively and professionally with students.
