Job summary

Queen Creek Unified School District is seeking a Child Nutrition Assistant at Crismon High School to assist in food preparation, serving, cashiering, and clean-up, following safe food practices.

The role is 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 10:00 am–2:00 pm, with duties including inventory, routine cleaning, and customer service to students and staff. A current Food Handler's Certificate and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience handling money is desirable.
• Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of HACCP and workplace safety requirements.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work with figures and to make arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to operate a computerized cash register.
• Ability to communicate with parents, staff, and students on the Child Nutrition program.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, regulations, and rules.
• Must pass a background clearance.
• Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, serving, cashiering, and clean-up.
• Follow safe food practices and HACCP guidelines.
• Maintain accurate inventory and report production quantities.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment and cash register.
• Assist with stocking and replenishing supplies.
• Set up and break down serving lines.
• Support CN Assistant Senior in absence.
• Perform duties safely and as directed.
• Contribute to district priorities.
