Job summary

Queen Creek Unified School District is seeking a Child Nutrition Assistant for 20 hours per week, Mon–Fri, 10:00 am–2:00 pm. Qualifications

• Current Food Handler's Certificate required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food preparation and money handling desirable.
• Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment and cash register.
• HACCP and safety requirements knowledge.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Proficient in basic arithmetic and English communication.
• Must pass background clearance and obtain AZ IVP Level One Fingerprint Card.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, serving, cashiering, and clean-up.
• Operate cash register during service and manage payments.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Inventory and report production quantities; help replenish supplies.
• Set up and break down serving lines; assist CN Manager as needed.
• Communicate with parents, staff, and students about the nutrition program.
