Job summary

Clemson Child Development Center in Clemson, SC is seeking a School Nutrition Food Service Assistant to prepare meals in line with USDA guidelines for CACFP. The role supports meal service for children aged six weeks to 4 years and requires prior food service experience.

You will maintain kitchen cleanliness, follow safety rules, assist with breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and work with the Nutrition Manager to ensure meals meet nutritional standards while staying organized and compliant.

Qualifications

• At least one year of food service experience.
• 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist in food preparation and service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with breakfast, lunch, and snacks following USDA guidelines.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safe food handling per DSS/DHEC.
• Support Nutrition Manager and staff in meal prep and service.
• Identify and accommodate children with food allergies as directed.
