Job summary

Monticello Trails Middle School is hiring a part-time Student Nutrition Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. The position runs 4 hours per day, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Monticello Trails.

Responsibilities include food preparation, serving meals, maintaining sanitation, stocking supplies, and assisting the Kitchen Manager. Requires completion of Food Safety Basics within 2 months and passing strength tests.

Qualifications

• Completion of Food Safety Basics class within 2 months of hire.
• Must pass standardized strength and agility testing to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must submit pre-employment physical prior to first day of work.
• Must have a current TB test; provide test results if recent.

Responsibilities

• Prepares foods from recipes or instructions, cleans, and properly stores equipment.
• Observes health and sanitation regulations.
• Attends the Food Safety Basics Class as required.
• Receives, unpacks, stores and rotates food and supply stocks.
• Serves food to students and staff.
• Washes, and sanitizes dishes, serving areas, coolers, preparation surfaces and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Student Nutrition Kitchen Manager.
