Responsibilities

• Administer first aid or nursing care for accidents and medical issues; provide CPR and first aid to staff as needed.
• Conduct health screenings (height, weight, vision, hearing, scoliosis) and screen for head lice.
• Refer students to appropriate personnel or clinics and follow up.
• Maintain health records and immunization data; file periodic medical reports.
• Dispense medications per physician instructions within district guidelines.
• Coordinate with health agencies and parents to address student health needs.
• Advise principals and staff on health issues and program needs.
• Maintain stock of supplies and ensure equipment is functional.
• Participate in health defect screening and sanitary condition assessments.
