Job summary

Mukilteo School District seeks a School Nurse (0.5 FTE) at Explorer Middle School in Everett, WA. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• Valid Washington ESA certificate with school nurse endorsement.
• Valid WA RN license and CPR certification are required.
• Driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify students with acute and chronic health conditions affecting learning.
• Provide nursing assessments for students being evaluated for Special Education.
• Develop individual health care or 504 plans for students with health needs.
• Facilitate home/hospital communication for health-related absences.
• Provide health education and guidance to students, families, and staff.
• Coordinate referrals to health, vision, and dental services as needed.
• Maintain health room operations and medical supplies.
• Train and supervise health room paraeducators.
