Job summary

The Francis Howell School District in Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive school health services, including health screenings, emergency care, and health planning to support student success. This role reports to the Nurse Coordinator and requires a valid RN license and a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $30.63 plus experience pay up to nine years, with hours from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and on-site work at FHSD

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse and Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Relevant job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility preferred.
• Ability to manage health care projects, use relevant software, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Health Screenings: Administer and coordinate health screenings such as vision, hearing, and blood pressure assessments.
• Patient Assessment: Assess and manage student health issues, including chronic conditions and emergencies.
• Health & Safety Issues: Identify and address safety and health concerns, including abuse, and refer students for further treatment as needed.
• Data Collection: Collect and document health data to support assessments and improve nursing practices.
• Communication: Report health and safety issues to the Nurse Coordinator and School Administrators.
• Health Plans: Develop and implement Individual Health Plans to address students' health needs.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with legal requirements.
• Education & Training: Provide health education and care, including medication administration and specialized treatments.
• Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
• Research: Research and stay updated on health topics to enhance knowledge and practices.
