Job summary

Alma del Mar in New Bedford, MA is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to support our medical offices and meet students' health needs.

The ideal candidate holds MA RN license, is experienced with children in school or community settings, CPR certified, and bilingual candidates are encouraged.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor students or staff who are ill
• Supervise prescribed medical treatments and medication administration in accordance with all regulations.
• Run a school medical office independently.
• Attend field trips with students with high medical needs.
• Administer first aid as needed
• Participate in emergency services for students and staff in the event of sudden illness or injury.
• Provide assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, management, and referral for appropriate medical care of students with acute or chronic health conditions.
• Prepare health reports for Nurse Leader, Department of Education and Department of Public Health.

Registered Nurse Role

Nurses are an integral part of our medical office staff. The Part time Nurse will support our medical offices and ensure that our scholars' health needs are met.

The primary duties of this role include but are not limited to:
