Job summary
RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a School Nurse (RN or LPN) to provide direct nursing care in a school-based setting on Hawaii's islands. The role supports students with medical and special healthcare needs across Kauai and the state, with flexible full-time, part-time, or per diem schedules.
Onsite opportunities are available in Lihue, Kauai. The position emphasizes collaboration with school staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective care throughout the school day
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a school-based environment.
- Ability to meet fingerprinting and district clearance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and health support services to students with special healthcare needs.
- Support students requiring ventilators, tracheostomy care, diabetes management, catheterization, and tube feedings.
- Monitor student health status and respond to medical needs during the school day.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student well-being and safety.
- Maintain accurate health documentation and comply with district and state nursing standards.
- Participate in trainings and meetings as assigned.
