Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a School Nurse/LPN to provide nursing care and health support in a school-based setting in Kona, Hawaii. This role offers full-time, part-time, or per diem schedules for LPNs and RNs.

Eligible candidates include licensed LPNs with CPR certification and at least 1 year of nursing experience, ready to collaborate with school staff and families to ensure safe, quality care during the school day.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active LPN license.
• CPR certification.
• Current physical within the last year.
• Current PPD within the last year (Chest X-Ray acceptable if positive).
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Ability to care for students with complex medical and special healthcare needs.
• Fingerprints and district clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and health support for students.
• Support students requiring ventilators, tracheostomy care, diabetes management, catheterization, and tube feedings.
• Monitor student health status and respond to medical needs during the school day.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support wellbeing and safety.
• Maintain accurate health documentation and comply with district/state nursing standards.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and additional duties as assigned.
• Support a safe and inclusive educational environment for all students.

As a School Nurse, you will provide nursing care and health support services to students within a school-based setting across the Hawaiian Islands. This role supports students with a variety of medical and special healthcare needs while collaborating with school staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective care throughout the school day. Opportunities are available for Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) seeking full-time, part-time, or per diem schedules. Responsibilities
