Job summary

Region One School District seeks a compassionate school nurse to serve as a long-term substitute at Cornwall Consolidated School. The RN will support students’ health, safety, and well-being, responding to medical needs and coordinating care with families and staff.

The position follows the school calendar with hours 8:15 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Start Feb 17, 2027; end May 26, 2027. Requires CT RN license, CPR, and at least one year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• One year of nursing experience within the past five years preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care and emergency medical treatment to students and staff.
• Assess student health concerns and develop appropriate nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and policy.
• Develop and monitor individualized healthcare plans and emergency care plans.
• Maintain health records and required state documentation.
