Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a School Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract- full time position in Indianapolis, IN. The RN will oversee the nursing process and student care in a school setting, promoting health, safety and well-being, and responding to medical emergencies.

Requirements include RN license in the state, Bachelor's degree preferred, School Nurse Certification, CPR, and 1 year of school nursing or pediatric experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
• School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract.
• One year of school nursing, public health or pediatric experience, preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the application of the nursing process and delivery of student care in a school setting.
• Supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of students within the school setting.
• Promotes health and safety, responds to medical emergencies, and liaises with families, school staff and healthcare providers.
• Provides services in accordance with Amergisˈ philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
