Job summary

• Must have current RN license in Tennessee and at least 2 years’ nursing experience, preferably with young children.
• Knowledge, skills, education, and training in pediatric rehabilitation nursing.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent clinical nursing and communication skills.
• Willing to maintain a Certified CPR Instructor license.

Responsibilities

• Provide and/or oversee specialized care including tube feeding, medication administration, seizure precautions, and respiratory support.
• Ensure medical accommodations are incorporated into classroom and program activities.
• Train program staff on health-care needs and coordinate First Aid, CPR, infection prevention, and emergency procedures training.
• Serve as a key point of contact for medical coordination between staff, parents, and guardians.
• Document and maintain health records per regulations and Signal Centers policies.
• Identify and participate in professional development for pediatric rehabilitation knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned.

At our center, we enroll many children with significant conditions that are medically fragile, may need tube feeding or other specialized care.

Qualifications

• Must have current license as an RN in the state of Tennessee and have 2 years’ experience in nursing, preferably with young children. Work in pediatric rehabilitation preferred.
• Must demonstrate knowledge, skills, education, and training in pediatric rehabilitation nursing.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent clinical nursing and communication skills.
• Willing to maintain a license as a Certified CPR Instructor.
• Ability to provide staff training on topics such as First Aid/CPR, universal precautions, etc.

Job Responsibilities
