Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide direct health services to students per IEPs.
• Conduct regular health assessments and reviews.
• Develop and implement IEPs and IPPs with clinical teams.
• Deliver routine and emergency care, including medications.
• Monitor medically fragile students during transportation.
• Maintain medical records and daily shift reports.
• Respond to medical emergencies quickly and calmly.
• Inform physicians or nurse practitioners of health concerns.
• Train staff on care needs and medication administration.
• Assist admissions, transfers, and discharges by reviewing medical history.
• Collaborate with families, case managers, and healthcare providers.
• Participate in IEP meetings and education goals.
• Promote infection control and safe medical spaces.
• Liaise between home, school, and outside agencies.
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned.
