Qualifications

• Nursing degree or diploma and valid Illinois RN license.
• Preferred: RN who completed ISBE-approved online training for special education laws.
• Experience working with children is a plus.
• Alternate: training via ISBE online course or passing ILTS School Nurse Content Test within 12 months.

Qualifications

Nursing degree or diploma and valid License from the State of Illinois to practice as a Registered Nurse.
An RN who has successfully completed an online training course specific to special education laws and regulations and students with disabilities approved by ISBE preferred.
Experience working with children a plus.
Will consider:

• An RN without the training,however, the candidate must agree to complete the online course offered by ISBE; OR
• An RN without the training, however the candidate must pass the School Nurse Content Test #182 offered by the Illinois Licensure Testing System (ILTS) within 12 months of hire.
