Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the school setting. The nurse will provide basic care for students, oversee medication administration, and educate staff on healthy habits while ensuring student safety.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's in Nursing with eligibility for a School Nurse endorsement; pediatric mental health experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Endorsement as a School Nurse or eligibility as prescribed by the State Department of Education.
• Experience or training in pediatric mental health preferred.
• Ability to work independently with ethical standards.
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care for students when they are injured or ill and manage chronic conditions.
• Oversee the school's medication administration program.
• Educate students and staff on healthy habits, hygiene, and nutrition.
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of the school community.
