Job summary

British International School of Houston is seeking a School Nurse LVN to support students and staff in a state-of-the-art campus in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will practice within LVN scope, ensure compliance with the Texas Board of Nursing, and collaborate with families and school teams to maintain a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed LVN in Texas with current approval by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Ability to provide comprehensive nursing care for students.
• Excellent communication with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care, first aid, and emergency response for students during the school day.
• Assess illness and injury, determine treatment and coordinate follow-up care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and school policy.
• Maintain confidential student health records, including immunizations and medications.
• Develop and monitor health plans for students with medical conditions.
• Support student health, wellbeing and safeguarding in a multicultural setting.
• Promote health education, hygiene, and illness prevention within the school community.
