The Public Schools of Brookline is seeking an experienced long-term substitute school nurse float to bridge health care and education in a specialized school-nursing role. The nurse will provide direct care, manage IHCPs, document health encounters, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support students with diverse health needs.

Required BSN and MA RN license with CPR, plus preferred pediatric/acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and MA RN license required.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct nursing care to students; assess, treat, plan, intervene and refer as needed.
• Document student health encounters and immunizations in the Health Record system.
• Promote healthy school environment and immunization compliance.
• Create and implement Individual Health Care Plans (IHCP) for students with health concerns.
• Administer daily and PRN medications as prescribed.
• Record and report state-mandated health data to Coordinator of School Health.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on 504/IEP planning; assist with safety plans for students with special needs.
• Communicate with families about health issues in a timely manner.
