ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated LPN for a contract backfill in a Prospect Heights, IL school. The role provides 1:1 medical care for a medically fragile third-grade boy, focusing on safety and learning.

You will deliver tracheostomy care, tube feedings, and medications per medical plans; accompany bus; collaborate with staff; document health status. This urgent assignment begins immediately with on-site support.

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN license in Illinois.
• Experience as an LPN in a school or pediatric setting.
• Hands-on tracheostomy care experience.
• Comfort caring for students with seizure disorders, G-tubes, and limited vision.
• Ability to respond quickly to medical emergencies in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 care with trach suctioning and daily monitoring.
• Administer tube feedings and medications per medical plans.
• Ride or assist with bus transportation to and from school.
• Collaborate with onsite staff for safe lifting and other assistance.

This position involves providing 1:1 care for a medically fragile third-grade boy, ensuring a safe, nurturing learning environment each day. The assignment is an urgent backfill, as the school year is already underway and your expertise is needed immediately.

Key Qualifications:

• Active LPN/LVN license in Illinois
• Demonstrated experience working as an LPN in a school or pediatric environment
• Must have solid, hands-on experience providing tracheostomy care
• Comfortable caring for students with seizure disorders, G-tubes, and limited vision
• Ability to quickly adapt and respond to medical emergencies within a school setting
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting medically complex children

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver dedicated 1:1 care, including frequent trach suctioning and monitoring throughout the day
• Administer tube feedings and medications as directed by medical plans
• Ride the bus with the student to and from school (accommodations may be considered if needed)
• Collaborate with onsite staff for safe lifting and other assistance
• Communicate clearly with school teams and family members regarding student health status and needs
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation

  This role gives you the daily satisfaction of providing personalized care for a student who needs your skills, while working in a collaborative support environment.
