Job summary
Interim HealthCare Staffing in Missouri is seeking an experienced school nurse to join our staffing team for elementary, middle, and high schools. Flexible schedule and ability to pick shifts based on availability; shifts are Monday through Friday with varied times by school.
You will provide health services to students at school, treating injuries and illnesses, supporting chronic conditions, and educating on hygiene and preventive care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN/LPN license in Missouri.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical facility.
- CPR certification.
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good communicator and compassionate.
Responsibilities
- Provide health services to students while they are at school, including treating injuries and mild to acute illnesses.
- Support students with chronic illnesses and ensure proper health management.
- Educate students on hygiene and prevention of communicable diseases.
- Assist with feeding tubes, trachs and medication administration as needed.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and teachers to coordinate care.
