Qualifications
- Current Minnesota School Nurse License with PELSB.
- Bachelor degree in Nursing.
- Current Minnesota License as a Registered Nurse
- Public Health Nurse Certification
Responsibilities
- Apply the nursing process to coordinate healthcare for students, including training, delegation, monitoring and supervision of health services.
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and screenings for special education evaluations.
- Formulate, execute, and oversee Individual Health Plans (IHPs) and 504 Plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, schools and families to ensure academic access for students with health conditions.
- Assist in third-party billing processes.
- Maintain documentation and ensure HIPAA/FERPA confidentiality.
