Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Implements school health policies, communicable disease control, first aid measures and standing orders in the school(s) assigned.
• Provides health counseling to students, parents, and staff, referring to community resources when appropriate.
• Keeps accurate and comprehensive health records.
• Determines if pupils meet state immunization requirements.
• Arranges immunization programs with the School Medical Advisor and health director.
• Assists with physical examinations and interprets results for students and staff.
• Performs vision, hearing, and postural screenings and makes referrals as needed.
