Mesa Public Schools is seeking a professional school nurse to enhance student health and educational outcomes. The nurse will exercise nursing judgment, collaborate with health and education colleagues, and maintain health documentation and records throughout the school setting.

The role emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and coordination with families and healthcare providers, with 187 workdays and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in nursing including public health nursing, theory and practice.
• Valid Arizona Registered Nurse License
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Experience in school nursing or public health nursing
• Experience with children and adolescents in clinical or school settings

Responsabilités

• Plans health programs in coordination with the administrator.
• Conducts student health screenings.
• Administers medications per district policies; knows side effects.
• Coordinates health services information among home, school, and community providers.
• Assists teachers in planning health curriculum with relevant materials.
