Qualifications

• Completion of a Registered Nursing Program.
• Valid nursing license with Nebraska DHHS or NLC.
• CPR & AED certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Bachelor’s degree or actively pursuing one; BSN preferred.
• Ability to obtain Special Services School Nurse Certificate.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professionalism and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook and student information systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site nursing care and emergency health plans for students.
• Maintains cumulative health records and immunization compliance.
• Takes action in injuries, illnesses, and safety concerns.
• Maintains secure storage for medications and equipment.
• Communicates health information to staff, families, and students.
• Participates in the school crisis team and wellness initiatives.
• Collaborates with staff and administrators to support student health and learning.
