Job summary

The Maryland School for the Deaf seeks a dedicated RN to provide health care for students and serve as a liaison between parents and the school. This 11-month, second-shift position covers Sundays and weekdays with weekend rotations during the school year.

The nurse will administer medications, monitor health status, and maintain Student Health Center records in a compliant environment, collaborating with staff and families to support student well-being.

Qualifications

• RN license required per Maryland Board of Nursing.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Experience with Google Workspace preferred.
• Experience with PowerSchool or student information systems helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care for students and act as liaison with parents and school.
• Administer medications per medical plans and school policies.
• Assess and monitor students' medical and emotional health.
• Maintain accurate nursing records and Student Health Center operations.
