Job summary

KIPP Nashville Public Schools is seeking a School Nurse to support student health needs across one or more campuses. The role reports to the Director of Student Health and collaborates with the Principal and Operations Director to ensure a safe, healthy school environment.

Key duties include managing medications, providing care and first aid, implementing health initiatives, and maintaining accurate health records while coordinating with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Current non-restricted TN Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
• BSN is preferred.
• 2+ years of nursing experience.
• Current BLS, First Aid, and AED certification.
• Associate or Nursing Diploma with Pediatric experience; BSN a plus.
• Licensed or eligible for RN licensure in Tennessee. Pediatric setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the student health needs across the KIPP Nashville school community.
• Provide well-student care, first aid, and immunizations as needed.
• Manage daily medications and assist students with disabilities.
• Advise Operations and school staff on health initiatives and systems.
• Develop emergency plans and train staff on health emergencies.
• Communicate with families about student wellness.
• Perform health screenings and referrals, maintain health records.
