The role emphasizes health advocacy, recordkeeping, and emergency planning. Qualified candidates hold a BSN and an NC RN license, with CPR certification and a willingness to become NC School Nurse certified within 3 years.

Qualifications

• BSN required and NC RN license.

Responsibilities

• Remove, modify, or reduce health-related barriers to learning.
• Provide well-student care, first aid, and immunizations on campus.
• Administer doctor-prescribed medications and assist with daily medications.
• Advise school operations staff on health initiatives and systems.
