Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN, is seeking a School Health Nurse to support student health and learning. The role focuses on promoting wellness, identifying barriers to education due to health issues, and collaborating with families and educators to create safe, healthy school environments.

You are a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Indiana RN license and at least three years of school nursing experience. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in Indiana.
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience in a school setting preferred.
• BSN degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and strengthens the educational process by improving and protecting students' health.
• Identify and assist in removing health-related barriers to learning for individual students.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

• Education: Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing ADN, Diploma, or BSN. Bachelors preferred.
• Licensure: RN Indiana license.
• Experience: 3 years nursing experience in a school setting is preferred.
