Suburban Cook County Online Application Consortium in Illinois is seeking a School Nurse to manage medical issues, promote health education, and coordinate student health assessments. The role reports to the School Principal and collaborates with teachers, counselors, and district staff.
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree with an RN license and School Nurse Endorsement, plus state certification and a valid driver’s license.

Treats students for medical issues, helps prevent physical issues and disease, and coordinates routine health assessments.
This position directly reports to the school principal and functionally reports to the other school administrators and district directors. This position coordinates with the other teachers, instructional coaches, school psychologists, and school social workers along with other support staff, students, guardians, and the community.
Shall work the 10-month school calendar as defined by the Board of Education and Collective Bargaining Agreement. May work up to the equivalent of 10 total additional days in May, June, or August which shall be paid at the per diem rate of pay and determined in collaboration with Administration.

Master’s degree in related subject area and registered nurse (RN) certificate are required. Appropriate state license or certification; School Nurse Endorsement; and previous nursing experience with school-aged children are highly preferred. Driver’s license required for student transport is highly desirable.
