Job summary

Shiloh House in Longmont, CO, is seeking a full-time Youth Mentor/Behavioral Coach. You will guide students through challenging situations, promote self-regulation, and model positive behaviors within a school setting.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, documenting behaviors, and collaborating with the team to implement behavior plans while supporting teachers and student outcomes. Must meet background checks and be at least 23 with a Colorado driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health/human services/education-related field.
  • Experience working with youth.
  • At least 23 years old.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain one with clean MVR.
  • Must pass FBI background checks and required screenings.

  • Compensation: In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $22.00-$24.50 per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.

  • Has hands‑on experience working with youth in education, behavioral health, recreation, mentoring, or similar roles
Qualifications
  • Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in health/human services/education-related field
  • Must have experience working with youth
  • Must be at least 23 years of age
  • Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with a clean motor vehicle record
  • Must be willing to pass FBI fingerprint & child abuse database background checks
  • Applicants must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations for child care facilities. This screening includes state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances. If the applicant has lived in any other state within the past five years, equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states will also be conducted. In addition, all direct care applicants are required to complete a health evaluation or physical prior to beginning service to confirm they are fit for duty.
  • Experience as a teacher assistant, behavioral tech, coach, or youth mentor is a plus, but not required
