Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in food service is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills, openness to feedback, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret simple instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with students, staff, and supervisors.
• Ability to draft simple memos and correspondence as required.

Responsibilities

• Open the kitchen daily and set up food service operations.
• Oversee preparation of meals and assist in daily food preparation and serving.
• Transport (walk) food between buildings and provide meal service support.
• Ensure proper production and serving of meals with portion control and food safety standards.
• Receive and verify deliveries and maintain inventory records.
• Operate POS systems and reconcile daily receipts.
