Job summary

Pitt County Schools seeks a Custodian/Bus Driver for J H Rose High. Starting pay is NC04 $16.83 per hour. Reports to the School Principal and Head Custodian. Term of employment TBD. No supervision duties and annual performance evaluations.

Responsibilities include cleaning, grounds maintenance, minor repairs, and assisting staff and students. Valid bus license and basic maintenance skills preferred; duties may include bus driver assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and wash floors, walls, ceilings; dust and polish furniture; wash windows; strip, spray, buff, wax and polish floors; wash and clean restrooms.
• Disposal of garbage and trash.
• Set up and shift furniture and furnishings as required.
• Provide assistance to students, teachers, public, and any other employee as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain grounds by mowing, litter collection, bushes trimming, and minor repairs to paths and facilities.
• Assist in general building maintenance: replace window glass, clean gutters, fix leaks, paint touch-ups, replace lights.
• Transport teaching supplies and equipment as required by the teaching staff and principal.
• Operate basic building systems and perform routine maintenance services.
