Job summary

The Cambian Group is seeking a maintenance operative for Grateley House School in Andover, Hampshire. You will handle domestic repairs, routine upkeep of the premises and minor projects within the site, ensuring safety, hygiene and regulatory compliance for students.

The role requires maintaining records, conducting regular audits, coordinating with the Regional Facilities Manager, and caring for the school grounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and repairs within a school or care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure environment is safe, welcoming, clean and in good repair.
• Keep records and prepare reports on site.
• Participate in audits of the quality system as needed.
• Inspect contractor works and address substandard tasks.
• Ensure compliance with national regulations and inspection standards.
• Manage your maintenance workload and schedules.
• Liaise with Regional Facilities Manager on major projects.
• Identify projects to improve facility efficiency and image.
• Ensure projects finish on time and areas are kept tidy.
• Maintain the school grounds.
