Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School LVN in Oakland, CA. This contract-full-time role provides nursing support to students in the school setting, including medication administration and health monitoring.

Responsibilities include documenting health records, communicating with families and school staff, and collaborating with the school nurse to maintain a safe learning environment; CPR, TB testing, and state regulations apply.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN/LVN license
• One year nursing experience (preferably in school/pediatric/community health/public health)
• Experience with children/adolescents
• Knowledge of community health resources and public health services
• Complies with professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current health certificate per contract/regulation
• Must meet federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing support to students in the school setting
• Monitor student health concerns and administer medications or treatments as delegated
• Provide first aid and care for illness or injury
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate with families and school staff
• Support the school nurse to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment
• Promote health education and disease prevention within district policies and state requirements
