Job summary

Montgomery-Public-Schools is seeking a Lunchroom Worker to support student meals with efficiency and a friendly, clean dining area. Responsibilities include food portioning, serving students and staff, cleaning counters and tables, and maintaining sanitary conditions.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and adherence to Child Nutrition Program guidelines, with periodic health tests as specified. Salary and board-determined terms will be set by the district.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• VDRL test yearly.
• TB Skin test every other year.
• Demonstrated skills and performance in the area of food service.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the local Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of food portions and prepares cafeteria counter.
• Serves students and staff from the cafeteria counter until all students/staff have been served.
• Removes used dishes and assists in the cleaning of counters, tables, and furnishings in the dining and kitchen area.
• Maintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion.
• Can be assigned any duties throughout the course of a day's work that relates to lunchroom duties; cooking, dishroom, stock, assisting with inventory, cleaning of floors, assisting with paper work, removal of trash.
• Attends all required staff training.
• Adheres to any and all other Child Nutrition Program guidelines.
