Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating manuals and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively with staff and students.
• Ability to use a PC with basic software (word processing, spreadsheets).

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining high standard of nutrition for the school dining service program.
• Assist in preparing, cooking and serving the menu at school to which assigned.
• Responsible for following all established sanitation procedures.
• Assist in money and meal accountability.
• Responsible for washing and sanitizing food service utensils.
• Responsible for correct equipment use and reporting of needed maintenance.
• Responsible for all other job-related duties as assigned.
