Job summary

Burlington Community School District is hiring a Lunch Server for a 2 hour per day, 176 days per year schedule. The role focuses on preparing and serving nutritious meals in a clean, efficient environment within the school food service program.

Responsibilities include following health and safety regulations, maintaining sanitation, and assisting in daily kitchen operations to support students and staff.

Qualifications

• Requires one year of home cooking or institutional cooking experience.
• Ability to follow oral and/or written directions.
• Knowledge of district, local, state, and federal health/food service regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set up serving line and serve food in a sanitary manner.
• Monitor food temperatures and meal components.
• Prepare food for special diets as required.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Assist dishmachine operator and assist in pots and pans area as needed.
