Job summary

The Brookings School District is seeking a Part-time Child Nutrition General Worker to support meal service during the school calendar. The position offers 3.5 hours per day with a wage of $17.90 per hour and benefits pending board approval.

Qualifications

• Is neat and clean in appearance, wears a clean uniform at all times.
• Demonstrates good communication skills and is pleasant with students, teachers, administrators, and coworkers.
• Understands and practices basic sanitation and cleaning procedures and maintains the work area at a high degree of cleanliness.
• Can organize time and workload to be ready to serve meals at appropriate time. Looks ahead on menus to determine what need to be done.
• REPORTS TO: Cashier and Food Service Director

Responsibilities

• Assist with serving of food in quick and pleasant manner.
• Assist with set up and clean up of serving area.
• Other duties as assigned.
