Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year to support daily meal preparation and serve students. Willingness to travel between sites and flexible scheduling to meet kitchen demands are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and cleanup of serving areas for timely service.
• Follow HACCP standards and sanitize work stations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and clean equipment after use.
• Cook and serve meals, ensure proper temperatures per HACCP.
• Unload and store delivered food items; learn POS and reconcile monies.
• Build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents; maintain customer service.
