Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions is hiring a Kitchen Helper to support the school foodservice program at Lake City School District. This on-site role runs Monday–Friday, 7am–2pm, with a pay range of $13.00–$14.50 per hour.

You will assist with prep, serving, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized, contributing to a positive meal experience for students. The position emphasizes reliability, following recipes, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Able to follow recipes and measure ingredients for batches.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and customer-service focused.

Responsibilities

• Help prep and serve menu items, keep station stocked, and follow serving-size guidelines.
• Follow simple recipes like fruit bars or baked goods while keeping kitchen, storage areas, and equipment clean using FIFO.
• Maintain food safety and compliance: follow food-safety steps, complete basic logs, assist with production records.
• Communicate supply needs, feedback, and updates to your team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and help with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Jump in where needed: help teammates, train new staff, and assist when someone is out.
