Job summary

Sauk-Rapids-Rice-Public-Schools is seeking a temporary Cooks Helper at Mississippi Heights Elementary School to support lunch preparation and general kitchen duties. The schedule runs 6:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, August 24, 2026 through approximately November 20, 2026, with a possible extension.

You must lift up to 50 lbs, handle kitchen chemicals, and operate slicers, ovens and steam kettles. Applications review begins August 19, 2026.

WORK HOURS: 7.5 hours per day (6:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.) Monday through Friday, beginning August 24, 2026 through approximately November 20, 2026 with the possibility of extending beyond this date.

JOB DUTIES: Assist the Head Cook in daily preparation for lunch service. Other duties include, cleaning, dishes, and serving students, parents, faculty and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Work with cleaning chemicals used in the kitchen. Work with slicers, ovens & steam kettles and work in extreme temperatures.

SALARY and BENEFITS: Salary based on the 2025-2027 School Support Employees' Agreement Level II from $18.12 up to $19.63 per hour.
