Job summary

Wayland Public Schools is seeking a reliable Food Service Worker for Wayland Middle School. You will assist with food preparation, meal service, cashiering, and daily kitchen operations under the Kitchen Manager, while upholding food safety standards and teamwork with staff.

The role requires 20–25 hours weekly at Wayland Middle School with a starting wage of $19.46 per hour, and benefits for eligible staff. Training and certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service preferred but not required.
• ServSafe, Allergy Awareness and Heartsaver CPR certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods for daily meal service and assist with lunch setups.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain sanitation standards.
• Assist with cashiering using MOSAiC POS system.
• Follow HACCP and nutrition standards for meals.
• Support daily kitchen cleanup and proper food storage.
