Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable Cashier to join our school food service program at Elk Point-Jefferson School District. You will operate the POS, handle cash, serve meals, and help keep service smooth during the 11am–1pm window.

Ideal candidates enjoy working with students and staff, have strong communication, basic computer skills, and a positive attitude. The role requires dependability, the ability to stand for extended periods, and light lifting.

Qualifications

• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using a POS system.

Responsibilities

• Operate the POS system to process student transactions and manage account balances.
• Keep your station stocked and ready while serving meals and a la carte items.
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transactions accurately.
• Provide friendly, respectful service to students, staff, and customers.
• Assist with set-up and clean-up before and after meal service.
• Support food safety standards and complete basic logs or records as needed.
• Communicate with your team about inventory, customer feedback, or account concerns.
• Jump in where needed—help with stocking or basic kitchen tasks.
